Getting to Know Selling the Fort

Hey y’all.  I apologize for the long time, no post but I was busy with the holidays and traveling.  I’m happy to be back in CowTown.  Okay enough about my hiatus, let’s talk about my recent meeting with the awesome ladies at Selling the Fort.  Karly Johnston and Ashley Sartain are two of Fort Worth’s hottest realtors.  Karly was just crowned Fort Worth’s Magazine’s most beautiful in their January issue.  They weren’t lying.  But I swear they should have crowned Ashley as well.  It’s like a double whammy of gorgeousness.  Not only are these two drop dead gorgeous but they are also kind, intelligent, downright hysterical and passionate about Fort Worth.

Karly and Ashley first met when Karly leased an apartment here in Fort Worth to Ashley and her husband.  Ashley then asked Karly if the apartment company was hiring and it was a dream team made in Fort Worth.  The two  had very different backgrounds growing up, Ashley has lived all over the world including Scotland, London, Singapore, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, etc.  Karly has lived in the Metroplex area her entire life.  Karly’s father was originally from Fort Worth and always told her that his heart was still here in CowTown.  As it so happens, Karly also met her husband while leasing him an apartment here in Fort Worth.  See a pattern here?  Ashley met her husband in Houston and they were transferred to Fort Worth with his job.  Both ladies are now mothers with Karly having  a son and a daughter and Ashley has three daughters, including 1 year old twins!

Ashley already had her real estate license when she moved to Fort Worth and convinced Karly to obtain her license as well.  I’m pretty certain these two were destined to be friends and business partners.  The amount of respect and love that each of them has for the other is so obvious.  Ashley swears that she is going to move next to Karly once Karly finds her forever house.  I have confirmed that Karly’s husband is aware of this fact.  Once Karly obtained her real estate license the two of them became obsessed with learning the neighborhoods in Fort Worth.  They would drive around each day and began to lay out a color coordinated map to show their clients where the best neighborhoods were.  The map was based on where they would look for their own homes.  Karly and Ashley have seen the wonderful changes that have occurred in Fort Worth over the past eight years.  They believe that Fort Worth is growing in a smart way.  Each new development is carefully thought through by the city.

So I asked the ladies the following questions about Fort Worth restaurants and shops:
